Abstract: we consider a supersymmetric hypercolor gauge theory with six flavors of quarks interacting strongly at the grand unification scale. This model solves the most serious problem -- doublet-triplet splitting in the grand unified theories.
We investigate the recent cdf measurement of the br(b_s -- mu+mu-) which shows excess over the standard model. We consider minimal supergravity motivated models (msugra)/cmssm and grand unified models, su(5) and so(10). In the grand unified models, the neutrino mixings provide an additional source of squark flavor violation through the quark-lepton unification.

Feb 14, 2020 this connection, known as supersymmetry, relies on the strange quantum from the universality of gravity to the unification of the forces of nature at in the 1970s, string theorists began to look critically at this.
Grand unified theories, or guts (without which, is has been alleged, there is no glory) are theoretical attempts to unify the electromagnetic, strong and weak forces. Despite their name, they are actually less grand than unified field theory (which hopes to add gravity into the mix as well).
These course-tested lectures provide a technical introduction to supersymmetric grand unified theories (susy guts), as well as a personal view on the topic by one of the pioneers in the field. While the standard model of particle physics is incredibly successful in describing the known universe it is, nevertheless, an incomplete theory with.
The most popular grand unified theories incorporate a new proposed symmetry of nature called supersymmetry.
Proton decay is studied in supersymmetric grand unified models. Supersymmetry combined with su(3)×su(2)×u(1) at low energies allow in general δb ≠ 0 operators of dimension five as well as four which involve scalar partners of quarks. It is argued that these operators should be forbidden by imposing selection rules.

Gauge coupling unification in the supersymmetric standard models strongly implies the grand unified theories (guts). With the grand desert hypothesis, we show that the supersymmetric guts can be probed at the future proton-proton (pp) colliders and hyper-kamiokande experiment.
Jun 1, 2020 these facts represent new hints for future work on susy guts or on guts without tev-scale supersymmetry.
Supersymmetry is part of superstring theory, a string theory of quantum gravity, although it could in theory be a component of other quantum gravity theories as well, such as loop quantum gravity. For superstring theory to be consistent, supersymmetry seems to be required at some level (although it may be a strongly broken symmetry).

It is often argued that in the class of non-supersymmetric so(10) grand unified theories there is barely any room for reconciling the lower bound on the position of the gut scale emerging from the proton decay searches and the lower limit on the absolute neutrino mass scale derived from the neutrino oscillation experiments with the gauge.
In this paper, i intend to motivate supersymmetric grand unified theories (susy guts), briefly explain an extension of the standard model based on them and present a calculation performed using certain properties of some susy guts to constrain the available parameter space.
There are a few more special tests for supersymmetric grand unified theory. The gauge coupling strengths of qcd, the weak interaction and hypercharge seem to meet at a common length scale called the grand unified theory scale and equal approximately to 10 16 gev, which is slightly suggestive.
We analyze the complementarity between lepton flavor violation (lfv) and lhc experiments in probing the supersymmetric (susy) grand unified theories (gut) when neutrinos get a mass via the seesaw mechanism. Our analysis is performed in an so(10) framework, where at least one neutrino yukawa coupling is necessarily as large as the top yukawa coupling.
Have been unified into a single force, a 'grand unified theory' that brings the strong interaction into the fold supersymmetry offers a much more elegant solution.
Most discussions of supersymmetric grand unified theories assume universality of the soft supersymmetry breaking terms at the grand scale. We point out that the behaviour of these theories might change significantly in the presence of non--universal soft terms. Particularly in so(10)--like models with a large value of tan$β$ we observe a decisive change of predictions, allowing the presence.

While the minimal supersymmetric (susy) su (5) grand unified theory (gut) has been exhaustively studied, the minimal susy so (10) gut has not been well known. When we supersymmetrise the minimal non-susy so (10) models, we can obtain only one minimal susy so (10) model. (if we allow one term of planck-scale origin, we can have one more model.

Supersymmetric grand unified models based on so(10) gauge symmetry have many desirable features, including the unification of yukawa couplings. Including d-term contributions to scalar masses arising from the breakdown of so(10), yukawa coupling unification only to 30% can be achieved in models with a positive superpotential higgs mass.

In large part the seduction lay in the very fact of grand unification. Because if a grand unified theory exists at a mass scale of 15 to 16 orders of magnitude higher energy than the rest mass of the proton, this is also about 13 orders of magnitude higher than the scale of electroweak symmetry breaking.
